Mind Clouds
Storm clouds form above
My head in late August
Dubiously I glance about
By October a steady rain
Dreary on my shoulders
Never lifting
As daylight dims in November
I gorge myself with
Leftover Halloween candy
Never feeling satisfied
By December I want to
Pull the covers over my head
Sleeping through January
My bones stiffen
With extreme cold
February dawns bleak
I could kill the silly darting
Cupid with his own arrow
The crashing of icicles
Rattles my brain and the
Darn dripping drives me insane
When I feel it will never end
March winds blow in
A crocus appears and grows
May is here
My heart thaws
Mind clouds drift away
