Valentine Sparks, Electricity 101

Early up and to the florist shop to pick up the Valentine vase filled with all the different kinds of purple blooms that could be mustered. Sandra's favorite color.

Latte' Dotte' was havin' a high time ridin' back from the florist shop smelling all the "new" things. She doesn't like hugs or any shows of affection unless she's getting them. Jealously? Think so.

Well she got her hugs then went racing round and round the den burnin' that carpet up 'til her tongue was hangin' out. That's a regular thing two or three times a day.

She pranced up to the patio door with her nose nearly touching it when I noticed a slight spark. The ensuing yelp of pain and the subsequent cries of pain mixed with anger with her reeling back from the door only confused me for just a second as I started to grab her to see what was happening.

Then the second spark flew, from me to her, I think. What a jolt, but I instantly knew what it was, static electricity. She yelped and reeled back from me, lips curled and ears back. Terrier fangs glistening white and sharp. She knew she was being attacked from all points. Poor little thing, I couldn’t help but laugh though.

I gently picked her up since I knew the charge was now deleted and gave her some lovies. She forgave me, but not the patio door. She pranced snarling at it then barked several challenges. Nothing, the door didn't want to fight. She challenged it again snarling, growling and barking. Nothing.

Now she stands back from it 'til it's opened before rushing out. Maybe she'll forgive it soon.
