Life is Precious

When I smile I see God’s face
in the clouds, proud of his creation
trying so hard to do what is expected
in spite of faults in me.

The caterpillar lobs his
legs forward, one scurry at a
time, hoping to
outpace any passing footprints

he’s a far distance from
woods where cousins remain.

Somewhere beyond the silhouette of
pine comes the trill of loons,
escaping into the breath of sky

and I love to dance within
God’s Divine Plan.
