Prayers and Forgiveness
Have you ever had anyone ask you something, knowing it was a catch, just to see how you would answer it? I have, and in my heart I answered it truly, as far as I was concerned. I believe that people try to trick others, just to humiliate them. “This is wrong”. I have found that if you answered the question the way they want you too, or the way you think they wanted you too, you fell for their catch, but if in your heart you answered their question the way you believed, then in your heart you did not stoop to their level. In my heart I believe that given the opportunity we can all be honest with each other and if we try that, then this world will in the long run, be a much better place to live.
Each of us are born into different circumstances, it is up to us as individuals
in our world, to look out for the next person, we are not to judge that person. We are to give of ourselves. We only have what we have because of one person, and that one person is GOD. Now I am not saying that He just handed it to us, we had to work for whatever it is, that in our lives makes us happy. We make sacrifices, and we give much more at times than we get. That includes finances, love, and family. For instance, one can love for all the wrong reasons. Finance is a hard one these days, as I believe that many are suffering from financial problems. Families are under a lot of stress due to the fact that jobs are not sound, and you never know when you might loose the job you have because someone is downsizing. So it is up to you and me to lookout for the other person.
I was recently in the grocery line, and I saw a young couple buying some diapers and baby food and a few other things, the young man had picked up a couple of candy bars. I supposed they would share them later that evening while watching the television. As the cashier was ringing up their items, the wife was counting out her money, she glanced at the husband and I noticed the sadness in her eyes. He glanced at her, and without saying a word, he took the candy bars and put them back on the shelf. Without giving it a second thought, I reached into my change purse and slipped five dollars into the young mans hand. Nothing was said and I did it as not to embarrass them. He reached over and got two candy bars and proceeded out the store. It would make me short five dollars, but I had what I needed for the rest of the month and I knew in my heart, that the LORD would provide, should I need anything else. As I went out of the store, there was the young couple waiting for me, they wanted to thank me. I just said “GOD blesses you both” and went on home. I needed no thanks. But in my heart it felt good.
As for those that trick you into saying things, forgive them. Don’t ask them why they did it as that is not important. Always remember to follow your heart in how you feel and how you think. If you follow your heart, then you are as close to GOD as you can ever get. And where else would you want to be?
