Ebony Wings

He soars on wings of ebony. The breeze he rides on high. He soars higher, even higher, all the time searching as if lost in time. He dives further, further, and then he rises, testing the strength of his ebony wings. Against the wind he soars. A soft gentle list to one side or the other changes his direction, but still he soars. Above the tree tops and farms, and fields, observing all that is his to survey. He soars on wings of ebony.
