Oh Lonesome Me

Oh yes I am lonesome for my friends on OurEchoes! My internet has been down for days trying to get high-speed connection. At first sometimes it worked then it didn’t and now it has been nothing. No e-mail either. What am I missing out on? Who have I missed visiting with? What is our editor up to now that I don’t know about? What did I do before I found this site? Just bumbled around in my writing area looking for an idea. That is what I doing now.

Walking the floor from one file cabinet to another looking at research that never materialized into a story. I have too much information about the writers in Butler County, who were members of the Kansas Authors Club for a story. I can’t think of a good title to the article about the little grocery stores before the big stores put them out of business. What can I do with all this information?

Maybe being off-line is for a reason. Perhaps I am supposed to set down and write something new! Or maybe I should get back to writing family history. Or forget all my researched ideas and write a book! If I was smart enough I might find a place in fiction to use my research. Oh forget all that, my grandson who is my computer tech will get me straightened out. He’ll probably say, “Grandma you just have it confused. We’ll shut it down and start all over. No big deal.” Hurry Paul so I won’t be lonesome any more.
