August 21, 2006 Back to School Take Two Today's challenge: get Samantha back to class. As always, the main obstacle in any parent-child interaction is the disparity of expectations between the two. Our expectation was to drive to El Dorado with Samantha after work, get her schedule from the registrar, make a pay arrangement and send her off to class. She's taking Marriage and Family and Developmental Psychology. Samantha's expectations had the same outline but stirred in a jumbo helping of stress starting with some compulsive worrying about getting there before the offices closed. Yikes! |
