Monarch butterfly Delicate orange wings trimmed in black Floating through the sky Winged flower Joined by thousands A ribbon of bright color Stretching across the blue horizon As I sat in the grandstand listening to some great bluegrass music in Winfield, Kansas, I lifted my eyes up in wonder at the migration of the monarch butterfly as they traveled south into Mexico. This truly was a moment in time I’ll always remember. |
