FLOWERS OF MAY Like flowing lace the hedges glow With May`s soft petals white; Wild flowers bloom in glory cloaks And summer garlands bright. For years we placed these blossoms `Neath a statue in our home, And a tender prayer we whispered there To Mary so well known. No fingers green,no special care, But nature`s own sweet way, Made of the little flowers, So perfect a display. Their scent was next to heavenly, Unique was their array; They are something truly special, Those sweet wild flowers of May. |
