God made us for one purpose—to serve and glorify His name.
He never asked for us to seek out wealth and earthly fame.
Our God wants us to simply be a power tool He commands
so we can work the soil and plant; any farmer understands.

But tools that don't receive His care can rust and rot and stray,
no longer able to work for Him; they just slowly pine away
like a rusty, old tractor, pushed aside—because of all the pressure:
its engine's blown, its tires are flat, it's no longer a valued treasure.

But if the oil of God's Spirit and the water of His Word
are applied, that tool can repeat what Jesus did and heard.
Each believer has the power that raised Christ from the dead,
but we must learn to apply the truth, not store it in our head.

The finest tool, even well kept, will never serve a lick
if it's not yielded to His touch; that engine will sputter and stick.
So let God tune your engine, lubricating every part;
we do that by keeping His Word, and prayer within our heart.
