If I were in charge of the world I'd make calories work in reverse Make time stretch when I'm having fun Make time contract when I'm bored If I were in charge of the world There'd be homemade bread for every meal My husband would stop at yard sales And I'd never say anything silly If I were in charge of the world You wouldn't have brothers in nursing homes You wouldn't have sisters who suddenly die Or unfairly lose a job or get breast cancer And none of us would grow old If I were in charge of the world. When do I get to be in charge of the world? |
