vas's poem

i had a magic pencil,
so i drew myself a dream;
i'd known this world i thought i saw
could not be all it seemed.
i walked up to my empty wall
and drew myself a door-
with one soft push it opened wide
and cautiously i stepped inside
leaving all my fears behind me
laying on the floor.
beyond my doorway lay the world
as i knew it to be-
a canvas blank for each to paint
their own Reality.
i saw the skies bleeding with rainbows
from sleepless imaginations...
and in my heart of heart
of hearts i knew
this story i'd created
would end-
as all such stories should-
in a cloud of butterflies...
