PEOPLE ARE READING OURECHO
I received an e-mail from a man in Kent, England saying someone had referred him to the story "Pvt. Patrick Walshe's Frayed Old Letter." The man maintains a web site for the Historical and Geneology Society in Carlow, the county in Ireland where my family lived for over 120 years. He said, "I found the story so touching I'm adding it to our Military section so that people in Carlow will know about this brave man."
Also, a note from the Rev. Ian Paisley, Sr., well-known minister and politican in Northern Ireland said he and all the members of his staff enjoyed "When We Were Girls In The Soldier's Cottages." I also received a beautifully expressed appreciation from Amanda Rothwell Stevenson, the other girl in the story.
Both of these stories are in OurEcho's Hall of Fame.
OurEcho is becoming well-known and valued. Thanks to Scott Lupo for making it available for people like us who want to leave stories for our families so they will know a bit about who we were and are. Veronica
