The moon was bright
The sky was clear
Same as any other night
I never felt any fear
I was happy, headed home
I never heard a sound
Lost in thoughts of my own
Until he had me on the ground
his crimes to me I endured
With eyes covered, hands tied
Not a chance to say one word
Even to beg as my body died
Your sorrow caught my soul
Your tears echo in my heart
Wish to help you, make you whole
Justice would give the healing a start
My body stays hidden much too long
Wish mine were the only one
when he is in hell, where he does belong
Only then will our anguish be done
I never saw his face, never knew his name
But I know the madness in his mind
And in his soul I shall remain
No peace or comfort will he ever find
