Acceptance The past is forever just out of reach, Though not always out of sight. The lessons we have to teach, Are the choices we believed were right My life has not turned out to be All I had hoped for in every way I am not exactly the perfect me Nevertheless, I live it anyway. I used try to understand, Where my path altered so, And led me to who I am Accepting that I will never know Has brought me peace of mind Looking back takes me nowhere There is nothing there to find Except these gifts to share Be proud of who you are today, If you have used this day to grow Forgive the person you were yesterday. Have faith in whom you may become tomorrow, Learn from every circumstance Face your faults with honesty Each day is a new chance To fulfill your destiny |
