Deep in sleep, sometimes I soar over trees and houses by simply raising my arms. I have no fear of falling from the sky, for I can land anywhere, anytime- as gracefully as a butterfly. In those dreams,I'm transcending something-- but how am I to know exactly what? If I could translate slumber's symbolism, maybe I could change my future or at least learn how to lean into it better. Soon, no doubt, I'll get another chance to drift off and land in some field of clover that lies just beyond sunset's edge. If you can leave the world for awhile, meet me there-- the only wings you need are in your mind. |
