God’s Springtime Masterpiece Early April is a lovely time Redbud and pears are in their prime. Pears with their heavy load of white Accents the pink redbuds so bright. At their feet are thickets of plum. Overall you can hear the busy bees hum In God’s Springtime Masterpiece. All across the endless plain Scattered in the gentle rain Are white petals of wild strawberry Where the robins dance so merry. In the gullies are yellow flowers Of the gooseberry’s rambling briers In God’s Springtime Masterpiece. God used a lavish hand Casting colors upon the land. With all that white he began Adding tones of yellow and tan. Then with a flash of violet’s blue He created an unsurpassed view In God's Springtime Masterpiece |
