Remembering A Special Sister

Casey was my next to the youngest sister. I was 13 when she came along. She always thought of me as her second mom. She got sick early in her life and after test they discovered she had leukemia. This was hard for our family to take. I remember that she hated going for her treatment. When she lost her hair my dad bought her hats to wear. The treatment caused her to gain a lot of weight and made her very sick. When I left home at 14 she was very sad and she had favorite songs on the radio that would make her think of me. She got her wish to go to Sea World before she passed away. My mother was in the room with her when she passed away and that was very difficult for her. Casey passed away on December 1, 1979. She was so special because she was born on my father's birthday,January 21, 1975. She only lived for 4 years but I think they were happy years to me. I will always love her. She had a beautiful smile and I think she looked a lot like me.We will always remember you and love you Casey.
