Finally Finding True Love- The year is 1990 and things are going really well for Richard and Veronica. Timothy is now old enough to go to daycare and Veronica is looking forward to switching to some dayshifts so she can be at home with her family some nights of the week. In order to do this she needs to get her driver's license,I know it is hard to believe that at the age of 27 she does not have them but it is true. She would also like to move up in her job and needs her G.E.D. in order to do this as well. These are 2 goals she has set for herself and intends to complete them. She has also been able to let go of her past love for Darryl Lee Sr after 15 years of trying. She has allowed herself to finally find true love with Richard. The man who has been by her side for the last 5 years helping her raise her children even though he knew she did not love him at first. He was willing to wait for her. On April 6,1990 they got married in Raleigh,North Carolina and the 4 children were their witnesses and signed their marriage license. Of course Veronica got her driver's license after failing the written test the first time around. She spent her days off going to Wake Technical Community College to study for her G.E.D. and in November of 1990 she earned that diploma and now she could become an assistant manager at her job and make more money. They were fixing up their house and making it look a lot better. In 1991 Veronica's parents and younger sister came up from Florida to live with them and this was a big mistake. Two families can not live in the same house. They were having problems right from the start. So in June 0f 1992 Richard and Veronica decided to move back to Florida. They packed up and headed south. They got jobs and found a place to live. This was not such a good idea because the children were getting older and Jennifer wanted to see her father and he was still living in Florida. Veronica did allow them to go and visit but it did not last. Veronica and Richard had several jobs and moved a couple of times but Florida was just not like North Carolina. And now that the kids were getting into their teenage years things were getting a lot more difficult to deal with. The children were hanging out with the wrong crowd and skipping school. Jennifer had found herself a boyfriend at the age of 14. His name was Roger and he was 19 and did nothing but live at home with his parents. Darryl Lee Sr had moved to Pennsylvania and Jennifer went and stayed a week with him. She came back because he wanted her to live with him and give up her boyfriend and she did not like that idea. He still was not paying any child support and Veronica did not want it anyway. They started having problems with Jennifer and she moved out at the age of 14 to go live with Roger's family. What she really wanted to do was break Richard and Veronica up by having Veronica choose sides. Of course that did not happen. She was told she had to obey the rules and go to school. Of course Jennifer grew away from the family after that. Things just were not going that great by the year 1995 and Veronica and Richard were thinking about leaving Florida again. They just could not make enough money to support their family. Shannon did not want to leave his friends behind and he wanted to stay in Florida. They had to get rid of Blackie he had grew old and mean over the years. They started making plans to leave Florida. They also had to decide where to go. Veronica was going to have to decide whether to make Shannon go or leave him behind with friends because she really wanted to get out of Florida. She had learned to hate that state. Veronica had gotten nothing but problems from Florida. Whatever was decided they were moving in October of 1995. It seemed like they were moving every 5 years. If they were not doing well after 5 years it was time to find somewhere new to go.
