Ladies, ladies, lend me an ear.
I’ve got something you really ought to hear…………
Not for me but for all of you
Who are “out there” each evening and the rest of you too.

You cannot escape
Reporting a rape.
No excuse will do.
It’s not up to you

Pigs are out there, for sure.
Don’t give them leave for more
Force, demands and worse
Or one day someone ends up in a hearse.

Our caring love is unknown to those
Who tear and rip off a womans’ clothes
And then penetrate their bodies swiftly, coldly
Cowards, thinking they’re acting boldly.

Their hearts are filled with rage
With origins we cannot gauge
How far to go this time, how far the next
Who was last, who was the first?

With some it will go on forever
Because their victims vowed never to
Disclose the ugliness, the disgrace
Of sex by force, that deadening embrace.

But absent complaint or sanction
A rapist stays focused on mission
Ugly abuse worsens
As conscience lessens

For the sake of other innocents, now I plead
You report any such deed
Or it will worsen, you see
As he gains confidence he’ll stay free.

Granted, your reports will catch a mere few
Of all of them but that will do
More than nothing, for nothing will fail
Their just deserts, a damp stinking jail……..

With other rapists.
