Listen to voice recording:
Before my mother died, I did a series of short recordings with her. I'm not thrilled with the way they turned out, but just hearing her voice is wonderful. In this short recording, I asked her where she was when she heard Pearl Habor had been bombed. I have a few more I'll post over the next week.
To be honest, I have been scared to hear her voice. Her death has been rather surreal for me and I wasn't sure how I would feel.
Now that I have listened to some of them, I'm much more comfortable with it. Listening to her voice puts her right back in the room. I am so glad I took the time.
I'll try to be more available to do recordings for OurEcho members, but please don't wait for me. Most anyone under the age of 20 can record and burn a mp3 with a skill I can't match. Please take the time to do it. Your children and their children will be glad you did.
