 Chhaya's No Bake Cookies

My granddaughter, Chhaya made these for us the first time was in the fourth grade. We were feeling low with the flu. Her cheery smile and the lovely big chocolate cookies made us feel so much better. She says she likes to make them because it only takes 15 minutes and uses one pan and one big spoon.

Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick oleo
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Mix the following in a medium sauce pan:
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1 stick oleo
Bring to a fast boil and boil one minute.
Remove from fire and add:
1/2 cup peanut butter
3 cups quick oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
Stir well and drop by teaspoon
on wax paper and let set until cool.
This is hard to do as they are so
good while still warm.

Number Of Servings:
one but no more than two

Preparation Time: Quick
