Thanks, Nancy, for these good words about my Big Sister Gail and niece Cindi. It's always a treat to hear them get those strokes. Wish I could have been there. Cindi has invited me to the convention in Wichita next year--I just may schedule a trip to take advantage of that. I'll take a photo of you'all! Carol

Nancy, I heard wonderful comments about your workshop from several different people. In all it was a fantastic weekend of rubbing-elbows with fellow writers. Attending and participating in the Friday night read-a-round, I shared a story recently published on OurEchoes, "Waiting For The POP!!!"

It was fun meeting some newly published authors, showing off their books with pride, like a new parent.

Someday I too would like to have my own book on display in the Kansas Authors Club's bookroom.

Next year when more details become available about the Convention to be held in Wichita, Kansas I'd like to post info about it on this site in case there are some writers who are close enough to want to attend. The dates will be Oct. 4-6, 2007. All Kansas writers may enter the writing contest but if you become a member you may enter the contest no matter where you reside.

Thanks Nancy for you kind regards.

I have to admit that it makes me smile when I hear OurEcho has in some small way been able to bring writers closer together. But a virtual community like OurEcho doesn’t replace a real one. It’s human contact that is truly rewarding and I’m glad you were to meet each other.

Thanks to everyone for the OurEcho plugs… Scott

Nancy, how wonderful that you got to meet Gail and her daughter!

And congratulations on the Chicken Soup for the Sisters Soul II. Can't wait to read your story.

Wish I were there, Nancy! You were obviously a big hit. I can hardly wait to see the new story in the upcoming Chicken Soup book. I think anyone who reads it will be surprised at its content. :)

Green with envy out here in Montana. You've inspired me to check out such a conference here. Kath
