Well, now I have to jump in here! My column opens: "My Big Sister in Kansas has inspired me in many ways over the years, most recently in our writing. She got started getting published in Kansas historical magazines and newsletters when she was in her 60s. As I always say, 'She showed me the way!' This year, through . . . the Kansas Authors Club, . . . she ran across an internet site with an interesting premise: a forum for anyone to post their stories." Gail has always been my #1 fan, and her support has meant the world to me. She was also the inspiration for "Livin' on the Bay"--I did the first 4-pager in 1999 as a way to tell her about the little shrimping village on San Antonio Bay to which I had retired. My new friends clamored for more, and the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks, Big Sister! Little Sister Carol

Nice to see where a writers gets their work done. Maybe we should all show off our computer areas. Love the cat! Our cat Lucy won't leave you alone when she wants attention---walking all over the computer keys & if I try to hurry her along she gets cranky.

I think Carol should post on Our Echo the whole column to share with everyone. The little excerpt that she put in the comment section just whets our appetites. Ginger
