Cindy, you've written a delightful bio of a very interesting person/author/photographer! Nicely tied up at the end with the impact of her stories and life on your own. Carol

I enjoyed this look into the past at a woman who was ahead of her time. Thanks for sharing.

Cynthia, I had not thought of Gene Stratton-Porter for years! My mother-in-law introduced me to the wonderful works of the author when I was a newly wed in 1959. I believe she had very book by Ms. Porter, even some very old editions. Thanks for reminding me that I should begin to scour the second-hand book stores for those works...B. Carpenter

I loved Gene Stratton Porter's books when I was growing up. I enjoyed reading about her in your story and remembering how much my sisters and I loved the books.
