Mario Lanza and Drink, drink, drink

I am also a fan of Mario Lanza's. He may have sung the "Drink...." song in another movie also, but I remember that his was the voice in "The Student Prince" when Edmund Purdom played the part of the prince. I can still see Purdom standing on a table while that great voice belted out the song.

I too, was a fan of the voice of Mario Lanza. He sang another drinking song in his career as well. It was the drinking song from the opera Riggaletto. He was one of the all time great tenors, and the greatest at that time, since Enrico Caruso.

I was a young baritone in those days and often sang the jolly carters song from the same opera, known as La Donna Mobile', or Woman so Changeable.
