Hi Gail,
Your wagon wheel rug craft story was fascinating. I really enjoyed reading about the rugs. Very clever idea.

Very interestingly written story of this craft, Gail! The start in pioneer days, techniques and materials you guys have devised, and nicely tied up at the end with the aforementioned ancestor. I adore the ones I have, all have endured washing after washing and still look great. Carol

I have been making rugs like this for about 20 years, I started in High School, taught by my grandmother. It's good to see someone else with this craft! I love your pattern in this red and white one, I did a similar one with my first three spokes red, and the rest of the rug white.. it looks like a peppermint candy!
