Ah, Fred...What a loving man you must be! If I had an extra piano, I would surely donate it! Your adopted family is fortunate to have you and your wife in their lives. Your love for them shows in your writing, which is always so well done... B. Carpenter

Such a sad, sad story. These wicked storms leave behind heartache, but this family is so lucky to have you and your wife in their lives. You will all be in my prayers...

I want to thank the many who haveexpressed well wishes for my adopted family after reading this story. I especially want to thank the person who anonymously sent me $100 to give to them. The person indicated that it was for "Jeffrey and/or family because the person admired them. God bless you and many thanks.

B.Carpenter said it so well. I just want to add that Fred and Tae are a loving couple who care not only for the suffering human condition as in this account of their adopted family's
misfortune, but he cares for and feeds the stray cats who seem to always wander on to his property. Tae also has a chihuaha who was a surprise gift to her from Fred. Anyone who cares about both the human and animal condition --in my view is special.

Fred, hopefully you get this. That was a heart warming story. I can inmagine how frustrated you were, unable to do anything for the family you love. You know they knew you were there tho in prayer and in your heart. So did God.

What a tragedy to have happened. I hope by now they are on their way to rebuilding what was taken from them by the cruelty of nature. I read your postscript about a piano being obtained for Jeffrey and am delighted about that. Slowly, things will change for the better, and life will go on. It always does. I truly enjoyed this story despite its content. You have a way with words that's brings the reader in to your hear and mind.
Blessings to you all,
Maria

No doubt about it, Linda and her family are survivors. Take a bow, Fred Wickert, for sharing what is indeed a very good essay. Your compassion and love for Linda and her family are what makes it such a wonderful read.
Merry Christmas!
