Aw I bet your recover was because the bathroom was upstairs. Quite a motivation I would say. Of course your desire to play football can't be discounted. I like the way you wrote about it. Gail

What grit you had as a youngster. I bow to your courage, Fred. I too grew up in the polio era and it was mighty scary watching my sophomore class drop into iron lungs for years at a time. I can't recall my family being more frightened. Your determination saw you through and that's part miracle, don't you think? K

Excellent lesson, Fred.Amazing what we can do when someone tells us we can't. I credit a lot of my success in life to my ex-husband, who spent the 17 years of our marriage telling me I couldn't do this, or that, or the other thing. Of course, I DID do them, and did them well. Carol
