Dad,

I wrote this story and added your poem for fathers day, in your honor. I hope you will approve.

A well-written tribute to a deserving man, Fred. Thank you for sharing his poem. It sounds as if the man lived by his own creed and knew exactly who he was. How fortunate you are to have had such a father. B. Carpenter

Uncle Fred, Thank you for your words about your Dad, and my Grandpa. I was pretty young when he passed on, but I remember his wonderful voice, the smile on his face, that he would always pick out the best watermelons when we visited, and how happy he was to see us. Rose

What a wonderful story.
He was much more than an Agriculture teacher.
A proud man who appreciated life, loved family, helping people, an gave so unselfishly of himself.
The story is a great tribute to him Fred. You would have brought a tear of gratitude to the eye of this very special Man.
Iloved the story.... Congratulations

Fred, I've just "discovered" your writings here on Our Echo, and look forward to reading each story in the list. Your dad was obviously quite a man. I loved your description of him, and the poem made me weep. What a beautiful tribute to such a fine person. He would have been very pleased, I'm sure.
