I felt sad along with you. Having lived away for so many years, I know what it's like not to spend the holidays with family. However, your daughter was well worth missing one holiday. I suspect she enjoys her birthday cake and pumpkin pie. Lovely story. BJ

I enjoyed this story, and I enjoyed the story that came out yesterday in Heartwarmers as well.

My Chinese daughter, her husband abd her daughter all have birthdays in conjunction with Christmas. Her son was born in July a couple of days past the 4th. A lot of double celebrations there.

Very nice story, Nancy. Not much we can do if we we share a birthday with a holiday, except celebrate it in true style. I've know several people who were born on one of those days, particularly Christmas, and the families usually celebrate the birthday during a special time during the day so it doesn't get muddled in there without much attention. Happy birthday to Karen, and Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

What a great story Nancy.
My Eldest daughter and I share a B-day.
She was born on April 20th,1968.
My memory is one of panic.
The nurse wished me Happy Birthday, brought me this beautiful baby girl, and when I uncovered her, she had blue feet!
I was 20 and very nieve. The nurse laughed at my panic and apologized for not washing Wendy's feet, they had footprinted her.

Great memories written so well as usual. My oldest sister was born on Christmas Day, our son was born on Valentine's Day and sometimes my Daddy's birthday comes on Thanksgiving Day so we know how you feel. Never thought to write about that special valentine day but maybe I better. As always, Gail

Happy ending 37 Novembers ago to a not-so-happy few days surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday! Now your family has 3 autumn prizes: a beautiful daughter, a glowing birthday cake and a yummy pumpkin pie. Thanks for sharing this holiday story.

With all that longing for turkey and the leftovers, I began to wonder if you might be birthing a Tom. I've always felt sorry for kids whose birthdays land on holidays, and hope everyone saves room for all those nice desserts....Kath
