Ah, memories! OurEcho is helping us make sure we don't forget all those important times in our lives. Nicely written tribute to Brownie. Little Sis

Gail,

This was a great tribute to both your dad and Brownie. It's obvious both were treasures in your life.

Gail, I want to tell you how much I enjoy reading your writings and to congratulate you on being "In the Spotlight." Your write-up is very interesting, and the honor is well deserved! Wanda

My special horse was called "Blaze" for the lovely white blaze he had on his face. Brownie sounds great. Thanks for inspiring my horse memories. - John

I had missed this when it was first posted, but I'm glad I stumbled onto it! Great story and well told--I could see turning it into a children's picture book for elementary-age kids.

Gail, I came across this story today and loved it. What memories we all have of so many family events. Funny how different family members remember things differently, or not at all. This is why we must endeavor to put these stories down in writing. Good job Gail. Keep writing and I will keep reading!

I could not skip a true story about a horse. They are so beautiful. I have just received an account of the Tennesee Walking Horses from the Doris Day Animal Rights org. I can't believe that they are still cruelly torturing these noble animals to make them high step in an unusual way. Please God --may something or someone change this terrible practice which causes so much pain to these innocent creatures of God.

What an amazing story. I know that horses don't like to be around blood, so that makes it even more amazing. It's strange how my children remember things so completely different--each from their own perspective. I'm a horse lover, too. May share a story about one later. Thanks for sharing. Janet
