Enjoyed this story of Grandma Martin! What a wonderful gift you are giving everyone in the family--each of these stories weaves in yet another part of the tapestry of our family story. Fascinating! Karen

Gail,
I wonder if your talented Mother-in-law ever slept? She was one very busy lady! How I wish the art of quilting was something someone in my family did, or had taught my sister and me to do. I have one very old, tattered quilt packed up somewhere in a box (bought at a yard sale), and years ago my sister bought a lovely one with various shades of yellow and light green in it, sewn by an elderly lady. It's on the bed in her guest room, so I always look for it when I go for a visit and enjoy running my fingers along the tiny stitches.
Sincerely,
Sandi in FL.

What a lovely story about your mother in law. I would love to have such great talent to pass down. I love cooking and gardening, but as for needlework, I can only do the basic stitch for which I am very grateful. Loved your story. God bless, Kathleen
