Dear Nancy:
I can relate so well to your story. I enjoyed two years of a teacher named Mr.Power, in a one room school house in Northern Newfoundland. He was like your teacher-truly a fountain of encouragement, knowledge, and his 'off-the-wall' methods were questioned by parents I am sure. However, he remains a role model to me, I will never forget him.
Beautiful story about a remarkable teacher. I am pleased to say that it is an awesome write-up by someone who, like me, appreciates the special teachers who influenced our lives.
Bonnie.

Your story brought back memories of my first man teacher in the 6th grade in a two room school. He taught us team acrobatic in 1936 and we preformed all around the area. Thanks

Hi Nancy,
Loved reading about your first male school teacher. He was unique for that teaching era.
Mr. Fulford was my first male teacher, in 7th grade civics. Later he taught sociology and also economics in high school, so I was in his classes then as well. His classes were such fun learning experiences, and I'll never forget him.
Every school should have a Mr. Biddinger and a Mr. Fulford!
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.
