Susan, what a beautiful tribute ! Though heart-broken, how blessed each of you must feel to have been part of this little angel's life!
He reminded me of my only brother who was called home many years ago to grace the courts of heaven. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Sabina, thank you for leaving your comment here about my poem. My sister (mother of Luke) and I lost our only brother 21 years ago, so we understand grief, as do you.
I'd not heard your name before so I looked it up just now in "The Name Book" by Dorothy Astoria. Sabina means "Planter of Vines" and the spiritual connotation is "Spiritual Discernment". The suggested scripture is from Philippians 1:9 "And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight."
God bless you ~ Susan

Dear Susan,
I feel so overwhelmed. Nothing really takes away the sadness and pain of losing our precious ones, but we can hold another's hand and weep with them when they face that eventuality and share those moments when memories gift them with a smile or two.
I was so thrilled to get the meaning of my name! I had no clue !! Thanks for the Bible reference and for that prayer for me. GOD BLESS YOU !
(P.S. My mom's name was 'Susan' )

Dearest Susan,
When you read your poem about Luke to me over the phone last night, of course it made me weep, as his mother. The emotional heartache and pain of burying one's child never completely goes away, but at least we have happy memories of Luke and must choose to focus on those, as you did in your poem. Luke would've been happied up to know that his Aunt NuNu penned a poem about him! Even the title describes him well, for he really was all boy...and oh, what a precious boy. In thirteen short years he lived quite a lot.
I love you and always will,
Sandi.

Dear dear Sandi,
Your words " the emotional heartache of burying one's child never goes away..." was something I always heard my dear mum say.
Yet, you have been brave and you so lovingly and tenderly reach out to others....comforting...encouraging, building....being a blessing.
GOD BLESS YOU !

Dearest Sandi, this side of heaven holds a lot of hard and unjoyful times..... BUT GOD! He has made the way through Jesus, as you well know, to redeem the difficult days so that one future day, all tears will be washed away forever. That's one thing we have to look forward to when we are reunited with dear Luke...no more tears, just pure joy. I love you always ~ Susan

Susan dear, you outdid yourself with this beautiful, meaningful poem, in tribute. This brought tears as I read, thinking of the loss at such an early age yet happy tears of this lad being in heaven with our Lord and his angels!

Dear Susan,

A lovely tribute to a boy who sounds like he was very special to all who knew him. It's so difficult to understand when a life that has been lived only a dozen plus years is taken. My heart hurts for his family who miss him on a daily basis. It may sound trite at times, but I think there is great truth in the comfort of memories, and I hope it is so in Luke's family.

Dearest Paige, as Luke's sister, you knew him on a daily basis. I wanted to write something about him and restore the *S*M*I*L*E*S* to you and your family. We'll all be smiling wide the next time we see Luke!
Love you ~ NuNu

Susan: What a beautiful tribute to your nephew, Luke. I wish I had known him, although I feel as if I did know him after reading your poem and knowing your sister Sandi and the discussion that she and I have had about our children.

Ron, as a Dad who has had your daughter reach heaven before you, you understand how indescribable the heartache is. On the other hand, your reunion with her, and Sandi's reunion with Luke, will be glorious.
Thank you for your kind remark...I'm glad you liked my tribute to Luke.

Semper Fi, sir.
My older son served in the USMC, Gulf War, returning safely, praise God.
I appreciate your remarks about my poem in Luke's memory. He was a fine youngster who is still greatly missed. Knowing we shall see him again gives so much comfort.
Thank you, Tom ~ Susan
