Hi BJ,

Interesting week-end you had, even tho you were a bit disappointed. Still plenty to have kept you busy. Born and raised in IL, but I had not heard about Betsey Reed. I'll file that info away in my IL History mental file. But next time those sirens blow, hit the basement! By the time you would have heard the roar, it might have been too late. Yesterday, we drove around the housing area that was hit here on June 11th, and it was just heartbreaking. Why no one was killed is a mystery considering the destruction of homes.

While those sirens were sounding, I was right by the basement door, growling at Hubby to come downstairs. Those tornadoes are not to be messed with. Fortunately, we didn't have a touchdown. Even though the damage was heavy, I'm glad there were not fatalities in your area. BJ

Hi B.J.
I enjoyed this amusing story sooooo much! Absolutely delightful...every word of it. You write exceedingly well.
Two glasses of wine have the same effect on me. *LOL*
Do write about the Betsey Reed Festival again next year, so we can all compare!
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.
