Great description. I held my breath during the landing. I'm an advocate of trusting your instincts. Good call. BJ

Whew! I'm still trying to catch my breath after that flight and landing. Your writing pulled me in immediately...I like the way you described everything and the suspense. Let us here at Our Echo know when you finish/publish your novel so we can read it. ~ Susan

Susan,
Thank you for your interest in my novel. One of my former professors has agreed to critique it so I'll have to make a decision on what to do with it after that. It is quite difficult to get an agent, and at my age (73)I fear publishers will shy away--I might die before completing a sequel. I may self publish and avoid all the hassle.

"Ferret" is a novel about the Coast Guard's war on drugs. The reader follows my protagonist from a small harbor on California's coast, where he rescues a woman from kidnappers, to the heart of the cocaine trade in Colombia.

What a timely subject matter in light of what just occurred July 2 with the rescue of the 15 hostages in Colombia from leftist guerillas. "Ferret" sounds
fascinating and should generate lots of interest. My cousin just had her book successfully published without an agent at Sheridan Books, Inc., Michigan.
God bless you in your next steps! ~ Susan
