Hi Michael, reading your story was like receiving one big verbal hug. God knows, this whole world needs a lot more hugs and some kind words like, I CARE ABOUT YOU." Tom

Thank you, Tom.
What I didn't mention was, Ginny and I plan to join them this month. We're going to make our signs and be part of the movement.

Mike, thank you so much for cheering up your readers! My sister had sent me the article about Juan Mann and the Free Hugs campaign. Until I watched the video and heard the song, then tuned in to view other videos of Free Hugs elsewhere across the world, I was skeptical. Now, I want to join in and give away hugs to those who need them, who need to come away with a great big *S*M*I*L*E*. Thanks for your article. God bless ~ Susan in Georgia

Hi Mike,
OH! How I adore this idea of Free Hugs, and eagerly await your report about how it goes when you and Ginny go back to Union Square soon and join in the campaign. Thanks for spreading the happy news. Sometimes people are a tad skeptical about something "free", but in this case, even the giver gets free hugs in return!
Sincerely,
Sandi in FL.
P.S. Susan Poole in Georgia, who also left you a comment, is my dear sister!

Michael your post reminded me of a book I have "I need a hug" by Bill Keane. After looking all through my wall of books, I found it and enjoyed it as much as I did your essay. Thanks! Gail
