Hi Suzana, It would great if everyone was as sensitive and caring about how animals are mistreated around the world as you and many others, including myself, are.

This, really, is a complex subject to discuss and try resolve. We get into cultural issues that have spanned thousands of years of what others think is an acceptable way of life.

Granted, there are those who blatantly abuse these helpless animals and birds for sheer sport and quick money.

Suzana, lets hope that by our words and example we will be able to sensitize others. I think our hope is in the young people around the world who may be open to change.God Bless. Tom

Thank you Tom for your kind and sincere comments. I though believe that we cannot and should not let culture dictate cruelty to animals and that we should do all we can to change mindsets. I don't look to the young only though hopefully they will do more than we. I look to everyone of compassion to do what he or she can to make this world a better place for humans and animals. If we sit by mutely wringing our hands - what can we accomplish? Thank God there are people in animal rights who aren't and slowly they are making progress. And for me prayer is very important. I pray to the God of compassion every day to help man became more like He would want us to be regarding his creation.
