C-o-n-g-r-a-t-u-l-a-t-i-o-n-s Nancy! Your devotional is beautiful. You have grown beyond your own hopes and now are are an encourager to other writers as well, including writers on Ourecho. Veronica

Hi Nancy, I'm sure that God smiles when we ask for more patience, perseverance and trust as these are the gifts that reflect His love through us to others.

I like to think our Lord uses writers, who are open to His gentle prompting, to touch the hearts of those who read and find solace in what we have written.

About Trust...I like this simple little prayer. "Jesus, I trust in You."

I agree with you, Tom, that God uses writers. Sometimes I'll write something and when I go back and read it, I often ask myself, "Where did that come from?" It's those times another hand is guiding us, I think. And I like being able to touch the lives of others with things I've written--for the better, I hope.

I could read this every night and not get tired of it. I find it speaks to me personally too, from a writer's viewpoint and also as a Christian. Very nicely done, Nancy. Please do more!

From someone who started writing late in life, you inspire me every time I read one of your posts. This is truly an inspirational piece. Thank you for sharing. BJ

Dearest Nancy:
As a retired RN who suffers terribly from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome at times, I always have my daily devotional and meditation book at hand. I remember mostly the prayers Mother had handstitched and hung in my room as a child, and as an adult I use the Serenity Prayer many times a day sometimes quite a bit if I am suffering more than usual. I loved my career, still do, was devoted beyond belief to it and now I write about it and it helps. I go back and read things I wrote as well and wonder where it came from.
'FROM A DISTANCE, GOD IS WATCHING US'-I truly believe that. He has gotten me through some very rough days.
I love your writing and am glad I read it first thing this morning before I started my day.
From a Distance,
love,
Bonnie

Thanks for your nice comment, Bonnie. I think more of us are guided and listen to God than we think. And how grateful I am for that.

Thank you Nancy for your devotional of wisdom. I too have lost alot of time, and I am inspired to continue. I surrendered to the Lord some time ago and I feel I am now being guided.
