An excellent reminder of what our troops endure for their country. You are appreciated. BJ

Warm gear--cause for great celebration under such circumstances. I for one thank you for serving our country, Tom. The men and women who have stood in the gap have not only won freedom at a terrible price, but have maintained it for us as well. Happy Memorial Day. Glad you made it safely home. I pray for those who stand between us and the enemy today. God keep them safe, warm, and courageous. Janet

Thanx Tom for a vivid description of what you and the other Marines suffered in Korea. As I am part of the "Korea" generation, I always felt bad that I saw pictures of a snowy bitter landscape and knew that you and others suffered while I slept under warm covers. Thank God someone appreciated your efforts and returned to you Marines your "deep-sixed" sleeping bags which were probably now freshly laundered and provided you some much needed warmth. And, by the way you were one handsome Marine!

Tom, Although I know you didn't intend this response, I sincerely thank you and all others who served in Korea for your sacrifice on behalf of the U.S.A.. I have read a few books about the way our guys were thrown into the war and you all reacted with great honor. Thank you for sharing your experience with a guy who, at 10 years of age, followed the headlines about Chosan, Pusan, Pyongyang and the Yalu and avidly watched the newsreels at the movies on Saturday. Your service was extraordinary!

Hi Tom,
I want to join the others who have expressed their appreciation for your military service in Korea. You were indeed a VERY handsome Marine, but your courage and bravery were even more important, and I thank God for bringing you back to the states safely so you can share your war experiences with others.
Sincerely,
Sandi in FL.
