A very thoughtful poem.......it made me stop & think about the things I'd change if I could. Although I'm glad I'm not in charge of the world, but if I were I'd have shorter work weeks and more time for fun things on the weekends.

You've completely undone me this morning, Ginger! Very poignant poem, and certainly from the heart. It put me to thinking of all the things I would change . . . Life is above all not fair. Carol

This one made me think. Wouldn't life be wonderful if only you could rule the world? BJ

Virginia--many of your wishes are admirable, some more for fun I'm sure. But I can't help being thankful that God is in control. Because He is eternal, knowing all things, He chooses best--even when our husbands refuse to stop for garage sales. Thanks for sharing so beautifully. Janet

Hi Virginia, here is my take on your though provoking poem:

My wife,Betty, makes and serves sourdough bread with all meals.
I'm a sucker for stopping at yard sales.
I'm prone to say silly things...usually at the wrong time.

When do I get to be able to be in charge of the world? I'll ask you again in about a hundred years... after you have a go at it.
