What an inspiring poem this is ! Could have been the lyrics of a song, Janet. The photograph of the Loon is so amazing... I can almost feel it's feathers ! How wonderful it is to witness such beauty around you !. We in the city rarely see such beautiful birds. But everyday we hear the insolent chirping of joyous sparrows that remind us that we are worth more to Him than many sparrows ! Thanks for that reminder. God bless You

Hi Sabina,
I didn't take the photo of the Common Loon. It was taken by a professional photographer, Gary Lackie, who shoots wildlife photos for National Geographic and other publications. He kindly gave me permission to display it.

Thanks for commenting on the poem. It was one the Lord gave me--and ministered to me powerfully when I was hurting because of abuse. We have an awesome God. He gives us exactly what we need--when we need it. Not always what we want, but He knows best. God bless you, too. Janet

Janet I like this one the best,especially the following line, "Child, when it's dark and the sunlight seems lost;
Remember your worth—that I counted the cost—"
Life is so busy we never think of our own worth. Gail

Hi Gail, Thanks for commenting. What you said is true. Often we don't value ourselves because of all the baggage from those who told us we had no value. I used to think it odd that Jesus taught, "Love your neighbor as yourself." Now I understand why. If we don't love ourselves, we aren't usually able to love others. Glad you stopped by. Janet

Janet, This is lovely. It touched my heart. Now I must listen for the Loon.
Thanks,
Cher'ley
