That is scary because it is so true, even though you call it fiction. I remember my folks had a picture of a winter scene with a wolf with his head up and he is howling. I believe it was called, Spirit of the Wild. Gail

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment, Gail.
I wanted to transcend from reality into that realm of fantasy and define what the "spirit of the wild" truly means.

Very impressive and almost haunting. So sad isn't it?

Sad, yes, their plight. And even sadder our own plight!

What a beautiful and unusual piece. Thanks for sharing. I hope it will stir hearts to change, but I fear man is selfish, indifferent, greedy, and unwilling to acknowledge the needs of another. We live in a fallen world, filled with corruption. Only a changed heart can change the world. Don't stop writing, hoping, caring, telling the truth. If even one listens, you've accomplished a miracle and left a legacy. Thanks for sharing. Janet

What some call progress is not always what's best. Thank you for having the courage to so beautifully explain and express what many of us think and feel. Even your title evokes a lot of emotion, and I applaud your effort at telling it like it is. You definitely succeeded. Even though this is fiction, it is definitely not far from the truth.
You truly ought to find a forum for public readings of your writings to reach an even wider audience, because when reading aloud the author can express many voice inflections which readers might miss. Maybe you could inquire at a local library or bookstore, for starters. A writer's workshop or class would also be a good place. Just a friendly suggestion!
Sincerely,
Sandi in FL.

The "civilized" world of management has not spoiled you. Thankfully, your Wild At Heart creativity is shining through as it soars to great heights. And we readers are the glad recipients of this.
