Janet - lovely poem and I sit wondering just who took my baby as well. Seems like yesterday, my first born who is now 54 and like yours, left us so proud of what they've become. Well done - Kathe in Montana

Thanks for commenting, Kathe. My Joel is 36 now. Having a child is an amazing gift. We learn so much from them. Glad it brought you some warm, fuzzy memories. Janet

This is writing at its best...about your son and grandchild. What a grand gift you've given to both with this poem, full of emotion and such love.

The other day, Joel called me and was down about things. I reminded him of a poem I wrote a year ago while staying with him during a drug recovery issue. He pulled his copy out and started to read it; by the second stanza, he was in tears and allowing his pain to flow out to the Lord. I know HE is good to share the poems with me so I can share them with others. God bless you and thanks for commenting. Janet

Susan,
I forgot to mention--the name of the poem Joel read that day was, THE WINDS OF LIFE. Hope you can take a few minutes to read it. Janet
