Janet--I think you are much like me, a "people" person. I liked this poem very much. Showing how these two lives touched and intertwined was very well done.

Thanks, Nancy. It was a fun poem to write. Speculation can help fill in the gaps for some people. Others might not like it because there is no indication in the Bible about it, but all children hava childhood--good or bad. No harm done. Glad you liked it and thanks for commenting. Janet

Hi Janet,
Wow - this is a powerful, realistic thought...that perhaps Jesus and a Centurian played together as children, before their lives took very divergent paths later on. It certainly caused me to think and ponder the why of things. It's obviosu that your Christian faith underlies many of your fine writings, and I thank God for endowing you with such splendid writing capabilities which you're willing to share with others.
Hope you will continue to post more new stories on a frequent basis.
Blessings,
Sandi in FL.

Thank you, Sandi, again for commenting in such a kind way. My faith has sustained me in the worst and the best of circumstances. Without Him, there would be no poetry. Oddly enough, in the book of Romans, the scriptures refer to believers as His "workmanship." The Greek word for that is POEMA--meaning poetry. I kind of like that idea. Thanks again for stopping by.
