Most of your poem and your title led us to believe in a motherly sort of person we all wish we had as a teacher. Then came the surprise! Great poem about nature and children. You might enjoy my poem about evergreens, "Candles in the Pines" #796. This is one of my very few poems I have written, as I'm not a poet. Gail

Thanks for commenting, Gail. I've been busy with gardening. Glad you enjoyed the poem. I have a picture of the playground, but have to have it uploaded before I can post it. Without transportation (for the time-being) it will have to wait. I hope soon. I'll check your poem out a bit later. I also wrote one called Evergreen, but changed the title because of the content of the poem. Can't remember if I uploaded it yet. Another soon. Take care. Janet

Hi Gail--again thanks for commenting. The poem I eluded to in my comment is posted, GIVING TESTIMONY. Think you might like that one, too. Janet

Janet,
A nice poem with a lovely photo alongside it to add luster to your well-chosen words.
Next time I visit a playground with my own grandson, I will definitely take a longer look at the surrounding trees.
God bless and protect you in the shade of His arms,
Sandi in FL.

Hi Sandi in Florida. I have a friend in FL, also named Sandi. Thanks for commenting. I love old trees. I have some great pictures of some old beauties. Maybe I'll post a page of tree pictures. Thanks for stopping by. Janet

What a novel idea...to show an evergreen tree as a sentry over the playground, the wooden town....I love this! You have displayed what a marvelous gift God has given to you in your ability to write.
