To be free is what everyone wants to be. But it is so hard and some never make it. Your post used an unusual way to bring it to our attention. Well done, Gail

I felt for the small girl who did not fit in at school and had to tolerate years of hate and abuse, jeers, laughter and tears. It reminded me of the awful stories of bullying that end in suicide we hear about too often in the media today. The peacefulness of the meadow brought out the small girl's internal pain. Your writing is very descriptive. Veronica

I don't usually like fantasy or sci-fi type of stories, but I did enjoy this one. And part of the reason was the many lovely phrases used throughout which brought the whole thing to life.
I hope you will continue to work on your writing for I think you're definitely headed in the right direction.

A very timely story. Makes me wonder what or who was the inspiration for it. Children can be cruel when they see differences. Columbine, Paduka, Dallas, and other places of violence may have their origins in Skyy's experience. Well written. This would make a great book to illustrate and publish. I hope you persue the possibility. Thanks for sharing it here. Janet
