Children who don't have pets really miss something in life, or so I believe. As you said, these beloved pets teach us valuable life lessons. I had to smile at your cat's name--Rusty. We had a beautiful dark reddish-gold Golden Retriever named Rusty. He came to us as a puppy when our daughter was an infant, and they literally grew up together. He was deeply loved by our children and all the neighborhood kids, as well. I still dream about him now and then. Thanks for triggering some happy memories.

Thanks, Nancy.
I'm glad you like it.
Sorry I brought up memories to make you sad.
