I know that this story is fiction. I also know from your name that you are of Indian heritage, and the subjects of your story are Indian. I sincerely hope that it has not been your experience in our country that you have to feel fearful or uncomfortable about meeting the gaze of our people. I hope that we Americans are far more friendly than that.

It has more to do with the protagonist's self-reflexive identity than with any alien gaze. And Americans are friendly.

Hi Amit,
Fiction is definitely one of your strenghts in the writing field. I imagine interesting ideas, thoughts, stories and more stories swirling around in your thought processes as your characters, plots and places come to life.
